The Green Hydrogen Coalition -- a coalition of leading environmental, consumer and public policy organizations -- announced a public education campaign Nov. 17 to challenge the launch of President Bush's International Partnership for the Hydrogen Economy.[1]
The White House last month hosted a meeting of energy ministers from around the world to to map out a hydrogen energy future. The Green Hydrogen Coalition supports hydrogen energy but says the White House is promoting "black hydrogen" rather than "green hydrogen."[2]
The Bush Administration favors huge subsidies to the coal and nuclear industries to extract hydrogen. The Green Hydrogen Coalition advocates a hydrogen energy agenda based on renewable energy sources like wind and solar.[3]
